Meet Dr. Renaya —
the woman behind Phoenix Mindset.
A doctor of educational psychology, a breast cancer survivor, and a woman who has rebuilt herself from the ground up more than once — Dr. Renaya built Phoenix Mindset because the support she needed during her own healing simply didn't exist.
Her story is the reason
this work exists.
Dr. Renaya lost her mother at age three. She survived childhood trauma, substance abuse, and homelessness — and still went on to earn her doctorate from Temple University. Then, during COVID, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and drove herself home alone the day she found out.
Treatment ended. The fear didn't. The fog didn't. The woman in the mirror felt like a stranger. What Dr. Renaya needed — a space to heal the emotional and psychological side of survival — didn't exist. So she built it.
"I looked for something to help me heal the part of cancer that treatment never touched, and it didn't exist. So I built it — not just for me, but for sisters like me."

Why Phoenix Mindset
Helping women move from surviving
cancer to rediscovering purpose.
Traditional care treats the disease. It rarely treats the woman — the fear of recurrence, the exhaustion no one understands, the identity that got lost somewhere between diagnosis and today. Phoenix Mindset exists to hold that part of the healing: with real, trauma-informed tools, not toxic positivity.
You don't have to walk this alone.
